Sandalwood is a small evergreen parasitic tree that grows up to nine metres in height. It has a brown/grey trunk and many smooth, slender branches and small pink/purple flowers.
Sandalwood essential oil is extracted by water or steam distillation of the powdered and dried roots and heartwood. It is extremely expensive to produce and therefore Bomb Cosmetics Sandalwood oil is blended to a 5% dilution in Grapeseed oil.
Sandalwood blends well with Rose, Black Pepper, Lavender, Bergamot, Vetiver, Patchouli and Jasmine essential oils.
